StudentSense includes question-specific analysis tools.
You may wish to get a refresher on advanced question customisation for the different question types that are available in StudentSense.
Filter results by time
StudentSense will capture the number of times you have closed and reopened the same question, as a “round”.
You can filter the results between different rounds by clicking on Filter and choose the round you wish to view:
Text response analysis
For text response questions, there are two types of analysis:
- Default option is to display a word cloud showing the most used words in student text responses
- Once you have gathered more than ten responses, StudentSense will also give you the option to select an AI summary that quickly captures feedback from the class.
Scale question analysis
For scale questions, the default display is a quick overview of the count of different ratings with a simple bar chart. Note that if you have enabled additional text response, you can also see a word cloud (and if you have more than ten text responses) an AI summary will also be available:
In addition, if you’ve closed and repeated the same scale question multiple times, you can compare the average results between different rounds by selecting the Average button:
Multiple choice question analysis
For multiple choice questions, a simple bar chart is provided for quick summary:
Matrix question analysis
For matrix type questions, the results summary is presented as a percentage heatmap:
Alternatively, you can also view the counts of the results:
Pair Matching
For pair matching questions, you get a bar graph of number of people that have correctly chosen each pair. You also get a pie graph of the number of people that are 100% correct, partially correct, or completely incorrect.
Quiz
For quiz questions, you get a bar graph of the count for each option that was chosen. You also get a pie graph of the number of those who chose the correct answer and those who did not.
