What is my StudentSense role?

Article Summary

Surveys can be shared via a QR code or unique link. Access depends on survey type:

  • Public surveys – open to anyone with the link or QR code, no login required
  • Private surveys – only accessible to selected participants, login required

Private participants receive:

  • An email notification
  • Access via their StudentSense account

To share a survey:

  • Click Share in the survey menu
  • Copy the link or download the QR code
  • Distribute via preferred channels (e.g. email, posters, social media)

Once ready, publish the survey to make it live.

Distribute your survey

You can share your survey via a QR code or a unique link. The process to share is the same, but they way participants access the survey differs slightly depending on whether the survey is Public or Private.

 

Public survey

  • Accessible to anyone with the link or QR code.
  • No login required – anyone who receives the link or scans the QR code can respond.

 

Private survey

  • Accessible only to selected participants.
  • Participants will:
    • Receive an email notification with the survey link.
    • See the survey link in StudentSense.
  • Even if they click the link or scan the QR code, they must log in to their account to complete the survey.

 

Steps to share the survey

  1. In the survey creation menu, click Share
  1. Take a screenshot of the QR code or copy the unique link.
  2. Share the QR code or link through your preferred communication channels (e.g., email, posters, social media).

Once you are comfortable with a distribution plan, you can then make your survey go live.
