Article Summary
Once a survey is published, it becomes locked and cannot be edited. No changes can be made to:
- Questions, answers, or survey logic
- Survey name, description, or structure
Response collection can be temporarily stopped to update survey settings only. To publish a survey:
- Click Publish in the top right corner
For private surveys, selecting a target group is required before publishing.
Understand what will happen once the survey goes live
Once your survey has been published and gone live:
- You will not be able to make edits to the questions, answers, logic, or other characteristics such as survey name, introduction, etc.
- You can temporarily Stop collection to update the Survey settings, as seen below. But again, no changes will be possible to the questions or survey logic.
Publish your survey
To publish your survey, simply click the Publish button in the top right corner.
Choose whether you want to publish a public or private survey. Public means anyone with the survey link can access. Private means only those with your institution log-in can access.
If you are publishing a private survey, an additional step will require you to choose your target group:
Once you are finished, click Next.
Then, click Yes, publish survey.
