StudentSense Evaluations is a platform for designing, running, and reporting on student feedback at scale - from a single subject evaluation to an institution-wide satisfaction program. You build a Question Set (the survey instrument), organise it into Blocks (named groups of questions, each shown on its own page), configure how it runs, and then report on the results - all from one workspace. The students and subjects being evaluated are loaded into the platform as Enrolments - a step kept deliberately separate from building the Question Set itself.
Who this guide is for
This guide is written for the people who set up and operate evaluations - primarily Survey IT and Student Experience teams. It assumes you have access to a StudentSense workspace and the permission to create Question Sets. It does not assume any prior experience with the product.
What you'll be able to do
By the end of this guide you will be able to create a Question Set from scratch, structure it into Blocks, choose appropriate question types for measuring satisfaction, configure how and when it runs, distribute it to students, and read the results. We start with the ideas behind the product, because understanding why StudentSense works the way it does makes every configuration choice that follows much clearer.
