Article summary
Before you can release results, you need:
- The evaluation closed
- Every flagged response reviewed and actioned
- Every subject matched to the reporting structure
- The reporting configuration signed off
Releasing notifies educators by email automatically. Leaders get access at the same time, unless you've enabled early access for them in report settings.
You can disable results at any time afterward — educators lose access immediately, and re-enabling doesn't resend the notification email.
Results and the CSV export are always de-identified, with a response-count threshold hiding very small cohorts in-product only. The separate export API can return student emails for institutional reporting.
Release results
Before releasing, make sure:
- The evaluation has closed
- Every flagged response has been reviewed — see Reviewing flagged responses
- Every subject is matched to a level in the reporting structure
- The reporting configuration is signed off
If anything's outstanding, release is blocked until it's resolved. Once you release results:
- Educators are emailed automatically — usually within a few minutes, longer for large cohorts
- Leaders get access at the same time, unless you've turned on early access for them in report settings, in which case they could already see results as soon as the evaluation closed
Disable results
You can turn results off again at any point after releasing them. This returns the evaluation to processing.
- Educators lose access immediately
- Leaders with early access enabled keep theirs — disabling results doesn't retract it
- Re-enabling doesn't resend the notification email, so let educators know another way that results are back
What results include
- Published results and the CSV export never show a student's name or identifier
- A response-count threshold hides a subject's results if it has too few responses — this applies in-product only, not to the CSV export, which always returns every response
- A separate, more tightly permissioned export API can return student emails for institutional reporting — a different route from the CSV export, and not covered by the same de-identification
