Institution settings control key platform configuration for your organisation.
Institution name and code:
- Name can be updated to reflect how it appears to users.
- Code is fixed and used for system identification and SSO linking.
API access:
- Generate a key to enable data export via API.
Parental consent:
- Enable or disable based on institutional requirements.
Teacher settings:
- Allow educators to create GO classes in addition to Connect and LMS classes.
Leader settings:
- Enable leaders to view and compare progress in Platform Activity for their assigned segments.
Institution name and code
Name: You can change the institution’s name to make it appear the way you want when an educator or student is given a code to join your institution.
Code: This unique assigned code is used for StudentSense product to identify your institution for reporting and administration. StudentSense users (teachers, students and leaders) who access StudentSense by your organisation’s defined SSO process will automatically be assigned this code, tying them to your institution and giving them access to the Question Bank and segmentations. You cannot change the code.

Teacher settings
Choosing ‘Yes’ will give educators the option to create GO classes, in addition to Connect classes and classes imported from the LMS.
What are the differences between Connect and GO classes?
Leader settings
When ‘Yes’ is chosen, leaders can see and compare the institution’s progress when looking at their Platform activity page for their segment.
